Fun and Informative Painting Tuition - Company Message

..So here we are at the end of another year, where has it gone? I've busier
than ever and had two house moves thrown in to complicate matters.
I now live on the edge of a lovely little village near Seaham on the Durham Heritage Coastline and I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful woodland Dene at the back of my house which leads down to the coast. For 2018 I plan to run workshops from my home studio for small private groups. taking in some of the outdoors permitting of course.

... my new Garden studio... I'm lucky to have a very pretty garden with a stream and foot bridge over to my studio. Its a perfect location to paint and I look forward to holding  Open Studio days and home workshops. I've space for 6 people comfortably

I often think the true value of participating in art subjects is overlooked. The therapeutic benefits far outweigh anything else...its a life line to many and it is the art of relaxation and stimulation all in one. Painting has been proven to slow down your heart rate whilst stimulating our brains which are both vital attributes to a healthy mind and body whatever your age. My regular groups have become great friendship groups where they discuss the joys and woes of life, have a cuppa and sometimes a cake...oh...and learn to paint too.

Work carried out in a primary school with 7 year olds. They had to learn to draw ..and draw Grey's Monument ..quite a task I thought for little ones. Anyway we impressed the teacher with a cross curricular activity using measurements, rectangles and shapes, then I showed them how to shade using different pressures with a 2b pencil. i think they did great... I loved some on the Toppers too.
